Why College Students Should Vote
I am super excited because I finally get the chance to vote in this presidential election! Many of us college students will vote for the first time in this election! Some college students are not used to the fact that they should be voting. In fact, some of them will probably skip voting in this election.
But everyone should vote. If you have a friend that says that she or he is not going to vote, convince them to do so! Every vote counts. Believe it or not, you guys are actually adults now. You guys have a say in who you want to see running the country.
Now that you are an adult, you are responsible for yourself. You have different beliefs than before. The classes you take and the people you meet will all have an influence on your beliefs. You probably are not living with your parents so they can’t really influence you now. You are your own person with your own beliefs.
If you are passionate about something that you want changed, vote for the candidate that is offering to change it. Now is the time to vote for the candidate that you believe can make the difference that you want to see. Also, keep in mind what you want to see for the future. Make sure future generations are in your thoughts when voting.
Voting makes a huge difference. Remember to vote in the important election my friends! Don’t just let the older generation be heard, because they’ve been voting all their lives. It’s time for the younger generation to have their voices heard!
Some final advice for the newbie voters: careful who you’re voting for. Don’t vote for someone just because all your friends are voting for that candidate. Make sure the candidate stands up what for what you believe in. Also, make sure the person you are voting for has actual experience in politics, so they can actually make changes.
